Native Drivers
When plugged into a Linux or Windows based host, the operating system may load the default drivers for the network interfaces inside the WiFi Coconut, which are based on the rt2800usb
device.
While it is possible to use the WiFi Coconut as individual radios, it is highly recommended that you use the WiFi Coconut tool instead.
If you choose to use the default operating system drivers, it is important to not use the WiFi Coconut as a transmitter or as a default Wireless network device; it is designed as a passive capture tool and the antennas are not optimized or connected for transmit mode, and excessive transmit attempts at higher powers may damage your device.
DO NOT use WiFi Coconut radios to transmit — doing so may damage the device and void the Hak5 limited warranty.
