A USB Ethernet Adapter can be used with the WiFi Pineapple Mark VII, via the USB Type-A port on the device. Support Ethernet adapters are automatically configured to use DHCP. Advanced configuration, including setting of a static interface IP address, must be done via the command line using regular Linux tools.
The following chipsets are tested as working out of the box with the WiFi Pineapple Mark VII:
- ASIX AX88179
- Realtek RTL8152/3
Using the Plunder Bug as a USB Ethernet Adapter
The Plunder Bug may be used as a USB Ethernet adapter for the WiFi Pineapple Mark VII by connecting it via the USB-A port, then plugging an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port closest to the LED, as shown in the diagram.
