In a few rare cases a center post on the plastic enclosure will prevent the device from being properly assembled. This center post is normally removed during the manufacturing process, however a small number of units from Q3 2019 entered the market without the center post removed.
We understand that the generic flash disk enclosure adds considerable stealth for social engineering engagements and overall convenience for pentest and sysadmin use - and we want you to be up and running with your USB Rubber Ducky in the quickest and most friction free way possible. To that end, these instructions are provided as a guide to modifying the USB Rubber Ducky case to ensure a perfect fit.
To perform this modification, you will need a set of household nail clippers or needle nose clippers.
Step 1
Identify the center post on your USB Rubber Duckies plastic case.
Step 2
Clip the center post.
Step 3
Repeat this step with the identical opposite plastic enclosure side.
Step 4
Assemble the plastic enclosure.
Step 5
Attach the metal swing clip and discard the clipped plastic posts. Celebrate with your favorite killer quacking payload!
